From the collection of Edwin A. Dawes. Petrie and Lewis (P&L) small format magic set with wooden props.
Includes disappearing and reappearing corks, mysterious coin box, patriotic beads, Egyptian vase, the bewitched dial, and the Chinese disk and ring trick.
Instructions in lid and small instruction book included. Box shows some signs of wear but overall in very good condition for age. Box measures approximately 10.5 x 7 x 1”.

Edwin A. Dawes (1925–2023) was a distinguished British biochemist and a leading authority on the history of magic.
