A cork is inserted through both holes of a striped panel. A card is then inserted between the panels penetrating the cork which is still visibly extending through the holes. The card is removed and the cork is then shown to be intact. All can be examined.

A dollar bill is displayed, folded, and placed into a paper punch. Holes are visibly punched through the folded bill, showing that the entire bill has been perforated. The bill is then folded again, returned to the punch, and with a little hocus-pocus—it’s magically restored!

Six solid blocks of various colors are passed for examination and two colors are selected by a spectator. All blocks are returned to a handsome, chest and secured in place by a wood rod.
The chest is closed and inverted. When the lid is opened, the selected blocks fall freely to the table while the remaining blocks remain locked firmly in place.
A classic effect in Davenports timeless style. Rare and hard to find.

A card case is balanced on an empty glass. Four coins are dropped into another glass covered by a handkerchief and placed on top of the case. One by one, the coins penetrate the glass and case and land in the tumbler below them.

A black, red & blue block with a cord running through its center is shown freely. The chord has beads on the ends. The block slides easily from end to end of the cord while in the hands of a spectator, yet upon the performer taking it. the block will stop at a command while the cord is being help upright as shown in the picture.
The block will move fast or slow, or will answer questions by stops and starts-twice for yes, once for no. The possibilities are endless.

Tricks such as coin and silk vanishing cylinders, enchanted ball bag, vanishing candle, linking rings, appearing flower, coin production box, pull, gimmicked playing cards, and several others. Nest of Boxes. Circa mid-1900s. The magician vanishes a small coin and then shows the box; after removing several progressively smaller closed boxes nested within, the coin is found to have reappeared inside the smallest box. Six circular boxes with matching lids, finely turned in wood. Very good.

England: Jack Hughes, ca. 1950s. A performer shows a clear drinking glass and shot glass. Four coins vanish one-at-a-time, and magically reappear in the shot glass despite the fact that it is isolated on a wooden stand and is covered by the tumbler. Complete with coin vanish stand.

The stand is made of wood, covered with velvet, and holds 4 US Half Dollars.
Simply lifting one of the coins out allows the coin to vanish silently.
Curry and Chips

Using six Poker Chips (each a different colour), an instruction card and a small mat. The mat has letters A - F printed on it, each marking a circled position.
The spectator is handed the Poker Chips and instructed to place them on the circles in a random order. This done, both magician and spectator read the printed instruction sheet, and follow its directions.
During a novel process of elimination, the spectator hands the magician individual Poker Chips - when turned over, each chip has a value in £s printed on it.
The final instruction reads for the spectator to turn over the remaining chip and claim their prize.
Alas, when revealed, the final Poker Chip only has a value of zero pounds!
