Painted wooden “television” frame with gilt-trimmed viewing window and original base, styled after early portable TV sets. The screen is covered with paper, secured by a wooden retaining ring (present here, and often missing). The covered frame is displayed upright; the paper is then broken, followed by a production of silks from the opening, the frame shown otherwise empty. An uncommon, limited-production piece from Kline. Screen approximately 12” square. Visible wear to paint and finish consistent with age and use. Good condition.
